What is a cryptid?

A Cryptid is an animal whose exsistence is unsubstantiated.

Cryptozoologists study these creatures whose existence has yet to be/cannot be proved or disproved by science.

Cryptids include, the Loch Ness Monster, Bigfoot, the rake, El Chupacabra, and the Yeti, yet these famous cases are not the only ones on record.

Almost every country has its own legendary mystery creature that reportedly dwells there, and their own horror stories to go along with them.
